Cooler Configuration

Posting a pic was really simple or I'm getting smarter in my old age! Any how, I have a question I'd like input on. This diagram is of a s10 4x4 oil filter/cooling setup. You'll notice that the filter is divorced and moved to the front of the vehicle. I've got a v8 engine mounted instead of a v6. The v8 uses a larger diameter oil filter. In my application this won't work. What I've done so far is add a offset oil filter adapter from a 95 Caprice. This allows me to run a smaller diameter, 3" oil filter and add a oil cooler to the mix without interfering with the front output shaft and exhaust. The problem is that I'm not getting a lot of filtration from the smaller filter. What I've been toying with the idea of doing is adding a second filter to the mix in the stock location at the front of the vehicle. Imagine an oil filter where #5 is in the diagram. This would be where my current filter is located. I'd also like to keep a filter at the stock location which is located at #14 in the diagram. I'm also thinking about adding the stock Caprice cooler into the mix and install it after exiting from the radiator cooler. Maybe I should incorporate the cooler in place of the stock radiator oil cooler instead of in addition to? Opinions??? The stock Caprice filter is a plate style with 1/2 inch o.d. piping. I've added a pic so you can see what it looks like, it's in the upper LH side of the pic. I have since removed it from the location till I get this figured out. Thanks!
