if your whole dash goes dark or stops working check for broken or loose wires on the #104-108 ground connections
Grounds00021a.jpg

THINK LOGICALLY ISOLATE AND TEST, CHECK YOUR FUSES AND FOR LOOSE ELECTRICAL GROUNDS AND CONNECTIONS TO SENSORS!

Lets get some action going on this thread...On the earler C4's if your pulling your cluster for replacement give a repair a try, (I wont get all detailed until someone replies here or I know Grump has a link burning a hole in his pocket) but open it up and clean up the ground contact (upper left) also clean the contacts for the harness(till shiny) not a bad idea to put a spring line for better contact, open up the metal housing to remove circuit board clean prongs replace bulbs while your there(just turn and pull) look at your solders if they are dull or dented resolder them. You can even change the color of your gauges with some spot light gellies. Bolt er back together.Good to go! Or do I owe you a great big apology? If you've ever done a Stereo changeout be cautious here an incorrectly installed unit can play havoc on your dash electronics look for loose, pinched or grounded wires same applies for your Electric Climate controls. Anyone?
