Lowe’s took the total Craftsman franchise over making them the official retailer of the complete line of the Craftsman label. However the warranty as Sears had it is no longer that easy. Lowe’s doesn’t take returns or exchanges any differently they did for Kobalt Tools.

I took back a frozen ratchet that I think was broke in the gear set. The employee didn’t know what to do without any receipt and I told her I bought it like 15 years ago. She told me I have to call this 800 number to find out where to send it. The assistant manager was totally lost on what to do. While I was still in the store a guy comes in with a couple bent and broken Craftsman screwdrivers. They told him they don’t take back misused tools only worn or failed tools.
