Demon Differentials

Nothing against the Dodge Guys.
Thought Grumpy might be Entertained.

Appears the Transbrake a bit much for an IRS Rear.
Needs a Dana 60 Solid axle.

Lacking a clean release on the Transbrake I suspect.
Hard to control all that Torque.
Rotating mass in trans may be high.

yeah Ive built a semi serious BBC engine for several guys that rapidly resulted in a 10 or 12 bolt differential turned into scrap in short order.
once youve got respectable power, you can have alot of fun boing burn-out and puching the throttle to the floor from a 30 mph roll on street tires... but once you get the stupid idea of installing slicks and launching the car from a dead stop, if you get the car to hook the impact loads on the differential and axle FAR exceed the intended stress the stock 12 or 10 bold G.M. rear differential will withstand, the ford 9" has some advantages because both ends of the pinion are supported, but the much larger and more massive dana 60 differential is in my opinion the way to go on a street performance car.
