you can't logically improve something until you have a base line to test from, as a start point,
used too accurately determine,
what if any changes are required,
and how any changes have effected the resulting combustion chamber conditions,
and engine power.
simply randomly swapping parts, is a waste of time and money,
and could very easily result in engine damage!
if the current spark plugs your carefully inspecting indicate some issue like detonation,
in the combustion process there are several factors like the ignition advance curve,
the fuel/air mix, air temps, engine coolant temps, cylinder exhaust scavenging,
exhaust system,back-pressure, and cam timing, that effect those combustion temperatures
