Driveshaft build

Good day to every one

What i am doing now is starting to build my driveshaft. What i need to know is how far in the trany does the slip yoke go into the trany. I need the measure the distance from the slip yoke to the rear yoke. What i have is a chevy 350 trany going to a ford 9 inch rear. Any help would be a good thing. Thanks

You want the slip yoke to go in as far as possible.
It eliminates High speed wobble in the tailshaft bushing .
More support on the output shaft splines.
Need 3/4" inch travel with car on the ground level.
3/4" -1.0 " inch before it bottoms out.
Driveshaft will go forward into trans on hard launches.
Best checked on a drive on 4-post lift if possible.

Making changes on my 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix now.
Vibration present at 80-90 mph now.
Minor but annoying.
Olds 425 with TH400 & 3.23 gears I have its happy cruising at 89-90 mph on Interstate 80 here driving to work.

Solving my issue with a longer TH400 slip yoke.
