Looking forward to Tinkering and Getting the 1959 Pontiac 389 Bonneville Engine running this spring in my Avitar.
Low Po by Todays standards but its still very Kool.
Searched for a long time for an early Pontiac V8 engine & found it last spring in Southern Illinois.
Bought it and brought it home.
Need a Gasket set from Fel Pro & the special early Pontiac V8 Water pump.
Engine is in Good shape yet.

Has 428 ft/lbs rated torque in 1959. Not Bad.

thank you for posting some good info,on older Pontiac engines.
that I'm sure some members either never knew,
or some members may have forgotten,
since the young guys may have never worked on the PONTIAC V8 engines
