Edelbrock Vs Iron - Rocket 350 On Dyno !

Not much true info performance tests on the Edelbrock Performer 455 Olds V8 intake.
I noticed today researching the intake runners topside are smaller than Factory 4bbl Early Olds 1965 425 iron intake.
Found pics online 1970 W30. Similar to Edelbrock 455 Performer.
Toro 425 1967 had huge topside view runners.

It seems that Edelbrock made Performer Olds Small Block And Big Block intakes intentional with smaller ports than stock.
To speed up air intake velocity.
Much like the Offy Dual Port does but way different layout.

Bench race fun.
Watch the video.

I rebuilt a 350 rocket with a buddy back in the day. Ran good but we never got the car going. He sold everything when he met his future wife.
Divorced with 2 kids now. I bet he wishes he kept that 70 Cutlass.

I was reading up on the Edelbrock Torker for Olds 455-425 .
It has fuel distribution issues.
4 cylinders run lean all the time.
To correct you have to race port.
Tig Weld up areas.
Eliminate a few outboard bolt holes.
Not something I want to go through.
The Best drop on intake was the OFFENHAUSER Port A Sonic and Super Sonic.
Rare. When I find its $400+ on ebay.
Have Vic Jr.
Want Dual Plane for street.
Offy Dual Port works Ok nice.
Think it lacks plenum volume for High Rpm 5500 + power.
That W30 factory intake is $2k to buy original.
China Repop has core shift bad...junk.

Have to buy that used Eddie 455 Olds Performer intake...try it out.
