exhaust manifold flang stud nuts

As per Grumpys advice, I tracked down my bad ground, on my 90 Corvette, to the connection on the cylinder head and the one on the left side of the tranny. To get at it easier I dropped the exhaust. (Also replaced the starter while I was there.) I was wondering, the nuts for the exhaust flang stud were pretty messed up, can I replace them with stainless steel? One side had brass nuts the passenger side had steel. I have some M10 stainless nuts from another project and lots of anitseize. Thanks, Jack

stainless nuts and anti seize on the threads make an excellent choice for exhaust bolts or header bolts, even if matched to standard iron studs or bolts, as the anti-seize on the threads even with dis-similar metals helps a great deal with reducing corrosion and its even better, if both are stainless.
use anti seize paste on the new exhaust bolts threads
