Extended wheelbase T bucket

I looked into Fitech also... From what I was reading they say that The Holley Super Sniper is much better. I can't remember what the negatives were on the Fitech at the moment. Anyway the Holley was real easy to work with.

The plus of the Fitech is the amount of wiring required. With the blower being so high hiding wire is important.

Howdy guys.
I’m running a FiTech currently and I have not read the entire thread yet. It will catch up shortly.
I have had mine for almost 3 years now and am very pleased.
I have done extensive work with it but would be willing to share.

Ok... read the thread.
The down low on the FiTech is they are VERY solid although they are early design so the software is not as advanced as the later Holley systems.

The ECU is internal to the FiTech and now the other units are following suit.
All the sensors are serviceable except the MAP sensor because it is directly epoxied to the ECU.

The VE table on the Holley is higher resolution if you feel you need it.
Most of the 4150 based systems are only ~850 CFM although a duel quad puts you at 1700 CFM.
I have applied common carb performance techniques to my throttle body and it now flows 940 CFM.
(Replaced the butterflies and slaves the throttle shafts, radius to the bottom of the throttle body...)
While I am pleased with my MeanStreet I would look very hard at the Holley.

I have been looking at Holly EFI and Unforgiven you are changing my mind. I have joined the blog spot and there seems to be a lot more or at least easier to find customer service. It may even be less costly.

John,

Why don't you buy both and have them delivered to my house, then I can test and keep the
best one! They will be so close in performance to each other, you will NOT know the difference.

What do you think ?

If you have not already done it perhaps you should start with what features you want and can’t live without.
That may seriously help.

if you want to compare notes let me know and I’ll get you my phone number.
I have also modified the FiTech software to alter the VE table ranges to fit my purposes.

Mark, i really like the looks of the Holley Sniper system. I emailed their tech department and asked if a TPS could be added to the second throttle body to be used for trans control. Have you found the Fitech tech support lacking or are you advanced enough to not need it? Lol I don’t know I will need anything special on VE tables. Hell I don’t even know exactly what a VE table is! I assume the it has to do with fuel curves.

Hell I don’t even know exactly what a VE table is!

I believe it is volumetric efficiency. Or how well the engine is breathing.

I have the 1250 super sniper system. It was very easy to install and setup.
There is a sniper forum from Holley also that is very helpful.. You will need to download some software from Holley in order to alter the tune ...
but the base program it comes with is not bad.. Just like anything, you will need to tune for your motor..

Thanks. I have found the forum and joined. Seems like tech line is much better with Holley. Another plus. They are on sale too! Save $225! Be still my fickle heart. Lol
