From Vancouver to Ft. Mcmurray

Hi everyone,

I currently reside in Vancouver BC but will be relocating to Fort McMurray Alberta at the end of the month due to a job relocation.

I've owned my 1963 impala 2 door hard top for 11 years now and have done most of the work myself. The only things I sent it out for was paint/body work, engine assembly and headliner and seat covers installed.

Engine is a 406 sbc (509 casting)
425hp/480 ft lbs
barry grant road demon 650
edlebrock perform rpm intake and heads
comp cam 280 magnum
engine was honed with torque plate. Block was decked. Crankshaft sonofluxed and polished. Was reassembled with new bearings, rings,cam and lifters,timing chain and gears,oil pump and gaskets.
th350 (3200-3500rpm stall)
1. TCI 36 Element Direct Clutch Drum Sprag w/Harden Inner & Outer Races.
2. TCI Manual Valve Body w/Reverse Shift Pattern.
3. High Energy Frictions (can be replaced with Red Eagle Frictions & Kolene Steels for $250.00 more).
4. Heavy Duty Low/Reverse Sprag.
5. Washers replaced with Torington Bearings.
6. Higher Line Pressure for Firm Shifts & Increased Torque Capacity.

car still needs fine tuning as well as the driver ;)
 

Those 62-64 Impala's hold a special place in my heart. My brothers had several of those cars, one of my brothers is gone now.

I like the green, you don't see that very often. Very nice car!

those older full size cars are getting much harder to find and rebuild, yours looks like a great example of what some restoration effort can do to save those cars
