fuel spray bottle

Good morning to every one
I would like to know if any one can tell me where i can get a spray or squirt bottle to use to squirt fuel into my BIG & UGLY intake for starting my engine. Like the one they use on blown engines. I can not fine that item.

Ive seen lots of guys simply use a 16 oz plastic ketchup bottle filled with fuel to start engines,(not a great idea):(
I always considered that potentially a fire hazard.
when I had my crower injection BBC,
( the fuel in the ketchup bottle idea was common)
in fact I knew one guy (LARRY, BEALLs ) I grew up with,
that had a bunch of fuel in a bottle he held, above his new engine,
being started for the first time, that caught fire when an engine coughed back,
as he set the ignition advance and started his engine ,
who burned his car to the ground in his car port
,as a result and he got rather badly scared with burns in the process.
(something very unlikely to have happen with engine starting either)

btw always a good idea to have a soaking wet bath towel in a bucket, and a 10 lb CO2 fire extinguisher close on hand, if theres any potential for a fire to happen

get the ignition advance or valve adjustment wrong and an engine can cough back... not great if youve got several ounces of fuel in your hand at that instant.

I just had several cans of starting ether on hand, its cheap, works far faster ,
wont wash oil off rings and its less likely to cause fires if the engine coughs

Seen a lot of hiccups when starting Fuel Injector systems and then a big ball of flame coming at your face.

Starting fluid is the better way.

I say most of that information is for full time racers and not just your ordinary weekend warrior. Even though I agree with you, bost most skip steps in being prepared for such happenings. If it ran good last weekend, everything should be alright this weekend attitude. No time or money to do in between runs.
