Garage Light Project

I have several projects on my list for this winter and a couple of them are for garage
improvements. I've wanted better lighting for awhile now so I ordered from Amazon
2- six T5 HO (High Output) fixtures.

Lights for the fixture:

I had to install two quad receptacles in the ceiling, which needed a visit to the attic
and running some wire.

The two lights close to the overhead door are the lights I had in the same place as the
new ones, just couldn't see throwing them away yet. So that's the reason for the 2nd
ceiling quad receptacle.

Below is how it looked back in 2010(No Flash).

And Now (No Flash) .........

The wife has come out a couple of times and said ....."OMG it's like daylight out here"

You might notice that there is NO engine in the car ...... well it's out for a new Crower
with 247°/250° duration @ .050 and .615/.625 lift solid roller camshaft. Hopefully it's
fits without modifications.

wow! I didn,t know you were planing that rather major change, to the engine,
and I'm curious what prompted the change?
what cam number did you select?
why no discussion on the site before the change?

BTW Love the increased shop lighting, next step will likely be

when you can clearly see what your working on its almost always far easier to diagnose and test,
correctly vs working in a garage where you can at times barely see clearly.
and for some reason great lighting always seems to help your mood, improving it usually.
adding motion sensor lights to BOTH the inside and outside of your garage adds to the security
inside your shop Id highly advise use of at least a few mothion sensor flood lights on the walls along with overhead florecent fixtures as the combo of lighting from several angles and levels provides a significant advantage, and the fact that the flood light /motion sensors turn themselves off after 15 minutes of not sensing mothion can potentially save you a good deal on electric bills if your in the habit of occasionally leaving the shop lights on by mistake

Gotcha!!!!! There is NO plan to change the camshaft, just trying to see if I could
get your dandruff up just alittle.:);)

I was surely VERY surprised, by that statement!
I'd fully support changes AFTER you have the current combo sorted out to max potential, and
especially at the suggestion that you would allow some un-known party to work on your engine ,
when its very obvious that your skills are far above those of your average machine shop Neanderthal, employee.
who with rare exceptions, could care less about quality of the work being done,
which is obviously, an area of concern, that you care to keep at a reasonably high and consistent level!
thers some basic suggestions in this thread , but your really a long way short of needing any upgrade yet.
