I was given several of these HF gear wrenches at various times,
these can be a really nice time and effort saving device at times in the correct application,
Ive purchased others dirt cheap at yard sales, but you need to be aware of the quality difference, between the original gear wrench and the clones, Ive had several of the clones self destruct in use, literally falling apart

the flex type knock off hf wrench is far more useful but they are a nitch type tool, useful at times nearly worthless at other

once youve used the real gear wrenches, the knock offs are so obviously inferior you'll wonder why anyone used them, these tools come in very handy at times.now your not going to find them useful in all applications any more than a ratchet and socket can be used in all applications and they won,t fit into some places an offset box end will, but they are a handy option at times.
Its not instantly obvious but the original gear wrench is slimmer , needs to rotate less degrees between clicks, fits the bolt heads tighter and just generally seems to be a higher precision tool with better durability
One major rule... never, beat on, or break a stuck or frozen nut or bolt loose or finish tightening it with a ratcheting gear wrench! the excessive torque your applying to the ratchet teeth,is Guaranteed to shorten its life expectancy
