On or from Both of my postings for info on two different Trans, one is a Muncie 7 bolt side cover the other a Saginaw also 7 bolt side cover. So what does this/your mentioning of a Muncie 318 all about, that one has a 4 bolt side cover Nothing Like my two trans both have 7 bolt side covers. Please explain your input of; MTGM036 318 Muncie 6 cylinder statement!

I have tried the Google Search till I am Blue in the face but cant find much on the 3 speeds them selves, 4 spd info all day long. Seams like the 3 spd's have a "Plague" or something like that for information goes.

**********UP DATE**************** I found what I was after over at (6066gmcclub.com) The Saginaw trans is called a 326. Now for my Muncie its call a 330. Thanks for all that did contribute what info was given.
 
why not post the info you found here?
copy/paste any related charts, pictures diagrams etc.

LOL I thought I just did. Actually what others posted for me here didn't get my question answered, answers came from some other Forum.... Bottom line is when I was over at (6066gmcclub.com) searching through the Transmissions and Rear Ends ares I saw two Threads about 3 speed transmissions and I started reading through them and stumbled on what I have been after for answers on my Saginaw trans.. BINGO got my answer. Not sure if that's what you want, anyway not sure how to do this copy or paste thing, sorry.

I don't do copy or Paste so this is the best I can provide so you will have to go to the Forum and register/log in, and or wait for acceptance or just go to the section of Transmissions and Rear Ends then find the thread called "Transmission???" on 1st page then scroll down to post 3 & 4 and read. somewhere in this post you read identified as a sm326 Saginaw 7 bolt side cover.

Also from same Transmissions and Rear Ends go to page 6 and find the thread "66 3 speed transmission with overdrive" and scroll down to post 9 and read. Somewhere in that post you read identified as a sm326 Saginaw 7 bolt side cover.

Sorry this is the best I can do for "copy & paste"
