like every other newer technology, it takes a few years to find,
isolate and work out the initial flaws,
and redesign the weaker components.
yes there are people that can break an anvil with a rubber mallet,
and yes manufacturers seldom make products that don,t require,
extensive field testing, in the hands of those people.

Junk Grumpy.

I was looking at COPO Camaro specs yesterday. Every single one built with a Turbo 400 Transmission.

because the 8 speed transmission has potentially significant advantages in both economy and performance ,
I sure hope they get the bugs sorted out and modify the transmission to be nearly anvil level indestructible

Just 2 autos are worthy....
4L80E.
Turbo 400.
4L80e never used in a Corvette stock.
Turbo 400 last used in a Vette 1976.

My Judgement call Grumpy.

Transgo may fix 8-speed issues.

Should be able to buy a C7 auto 8speed dirt cheep.....here is $25k I know your transmission is Junk.
