Good alternator putting out low voltage

Agree 100%. The main reason for these forums is to keep all this old iron on the road AND SAFE. And it feels a little bit like hanging out in the garage with some friends.

The Modern Ford Alternators actually blow away any GM has other than Delcotron CS144.
CS 144 IS BIG END FRAME CASE DESIGN.
Custom brackets made often required to use it.
That's funny. 17 years ago when I had the 84 TransAm running, my friend Doug was working on an 88 Mustang.
We both bought upgraded alternators. As it turned out, he ended up receiving a GM unit for the Ford, and I received
a Ford unit for the Pontiac. When the alternator on my 95 GMC truck blew, I upgraded to the CS-144. It just needed
a couple of modifications to the mounting bracket. I love that alternator. I just replaced the NAPA battery 2 days ago.
Got 87 months out of their 75 month battery. Most likely the result of that CS-144. Bought another NAPA battery.

I have a pile of CS 144 Alternators & Early Delco 10 SI Alternators I want to rebuild this year.
Many Pontiac guys want Date coded correct and what I saved the 10 SI For.
I sold a 1963 Alternator for $400 on ebay. Started at .99 cents the auction.
Correct for the 1963 SD-421 Super Duty Catalinas. Back in 2009...Bad Times with Bam Bam leading bailing out Lehman Banksters. Ficker made me Starve.
That Jackoff.
Didn't starve that month.

Also have Delco 10 MT High Torque Starters. Rebuild for myself.
A few have desirable date codes for Musclecars.
