most of the more skilled guys I know seem to have built custom built tools for their shops, now in many cases its simple things , like wood car support stands you can build for under $60 a set

a very effective custom fabricated $5 ring squaring tool

a simple welding project

or something requiring a bit more skill and careful planing

yeah! theres some things you look at ,admire the way they are built,and just wish you had access too, you just know getting your hands on it would make things improve
