Jegs sells several headers, one set lists 1964 to 1981 - 326 to 455 Gran Prix, Tempest, GTO and Firebirds. If the 1968 Gran Prix is pretty much identical to the 1968 Bonnevilles and Catalina’s, GP’s have hidden headlights in 68, virtually everything else is the same except some luxury options, then wouldn’t it stand to be true that those headers will fit the ‘68 Catalina? Is it that Bonneville and Catalina is not typically a car that gets modified therefore they’re not listed but will fit, or is this just wishful thinking?

None fit from a GTO or Trans Am.
Only Mad Dog Headers made them for a short time for Pontiac Fullsize.
Discontinued.
All sold have been installed by Pontiac Drag Racers and in use now for 1959-1977 Pontiac Fullsize, B & G body platforms.
Wanted but gone.
They have to be one off made by an experienced Race Car Chassis Fabricror.
Labor is $200 per hour large shops.
Be $5,000-10,000 cash.
Most will not touch now till $20,000 cash put down credit cards not taken or checks.
Ed is $100 phr.
Be $2,000-5000 in stainless steel.
Headers built on the car.

No deals or breaks unfortunately in Race car world.
All want the best.
Most often free.
All want to be on YouTube and Race channels for the Fame, Glory, and money !

Just use your Longbrach Factory exhaust manifolds you stashed away.
Need the Big Car oil filter adapter I showed you that's on my 1976 455 engine.
Fits like a glove.
Everyone thinks I have full long Tube Race Headers!
Rumble is close but its actually x2 louder Big Tube Pontiac Race Headers uncorked with 3-1/2" -4.0 inch collectors.

I could have bet you would have said exactly this so ordered that oil filter adapter yesterday. And I dropped off the long branch manifolds for ceramic coating. Now I wondering how to handle the retrofit to the new exhaust pipes.

This will be one hell of a Cat by the time I’m done. Truth is, the internet shows a lot of customized ‘68 Catalinas and Bonnevilles, but why not, Impalas are the same size and weight!

Instead of the big car oil filter adapter, couldn't hoses be run to a remote oil filter located somewhere convenient?
I already thought of that since I have one new in the box. My first thought was to keep things looking stock. That adapter was dirt cheap and would have bought it for something down the road.

I really wanted to try headers, I like the sound when the secondaries kick in. This Cat looks like headers will be an easy fit (looking down from the top anyway).

Goal this week - get that tilt steering column installed. It’s not an enjoyable drive with a fixed position wheel like it is now. Years ago I didn’t get a 69 Z/28 because of that fixed position wheel. My mind only fixed on pure stock but these days no one cares aside from juried events.

I just found the Toyota key fob. Been MIA all week, now I can move it over to drain the gas.
Btw, what do you think is the longest you can go trying to start a car with gas that was sitting?

I only recommend the Very Best Earl's PTFE Race hose used and Matching AN Fittings.
Jaw dropping prices.
See aside $650 for.
China will fail.
Engine oil fire car burns to the ground otherwise.

I thought paying nearly $300 was outrageous for what it was back then.
Even if you had the right Headers I don't think you could install yourself.
Knee replacement not 100% like your 20s.
Pontiac V8 headers are the most difficult to install.
Then leak free another challenge.
Millenials will smash the header tubes to fit.
Most often the Frame needs to be notched channelled.
Tig welded piece to close the holes.

My Godson in N.Carolina teaches welding at an adult trade school, he just turned 19 on Friday. They sell welding equipment on the cheap. Looks like I have to re invest in another TIG. I need some things custom made anyway.

The Pontiac exhaust ports look lower than a SBC motor’s. Long tube looks like it might hang low?
What does my knees have to do with installing headers? I did pour a pad months ago and reinstalled my lift. I do need to move one leg out another 2 feet, I kept the same measurements with the overhead lines because I couldn’t work off of a ladder at that point. I opted for the 12,000 lb legs as I knew someday I would move the lift to a location where I can turn the legs for full asymmetry.

Chevy V8 Engines are Childs Play to install headers onto even a Corvette.

Work on a late model car or truck , FWD Engine Transplant tough as they seem or impossible to most its just intermediate level.

Headers on Pontiac V8 installed without smashing header tubes , nothing scratched up, dented, dont get pissed off, Race Car Fabricate as needed, perfect show car Race Car Quality worthy of showing on You Tube videos and posted to the World to see as I make do,
Only the Very Best can do it
Also must be Super Limber, work with your eyes closed because you can not see the header bolts starting into the cylinder heads because the Pontiac V8 ports are 135 degrees upside down ports.
Also need Super Stamina.
Lots of physical strength needed.
Also you have a friend helping you, both must trust each other.
One screws up scratches the $1500 Jet Hot Coat Headers finish must not get mad a throw a punch at him.
Suck it up move on.
Your one off Race Headsrs no longer mint perfect.
