Hello everyone

I've used all those at one time or another. I never ordered anymore of the rubber polishing
wheels after the first time. What you call BOB, I used what is called a Cross Buff. Pretty much
the same thing. Your felt wheels look really soft where mine were hard felt.

The major difference seems to be the final stage where you used diamond paste. I used Rouge
as the final step, will have to try the diamond paste next time.

What kind of RPM did you use for the 4 different steps??? All I have is 20,000 RPM die grinder
and that seemed to burn the felt wheel with Rouge.

Thanks for the info!!!

Rick, you could plug your die grinder into this (or similar).
It does not work on all electric motors, but comes in handy at times.

Well I use a dremel
4000 and had it set on about 20
At work I use a dot co pencil grinder
That I adjust down 8 or 9 k "ish"
And yes diamond polishing compound
Makes the world of difference on aluminum you want 1.5 micron
But beware the cheaper stuff doesn't work well at all it's yellow and says 1.5 micron but i think they forgot to put the diamond in it.
The stuff I sent picture of works well
And it doesn't take much just a light coat
Polish and wipe with paper towel.
When I do other head I might post a video
On YouTube

Noted Speedlink, will try the diamond paste next time.

Many, many thanks for posting your experience!!!

yet...its still an interesting bit of technology use. and occasionally you see silicone sealant where its squeezed out of the gasket seal and dried ,
with excess sealant sticking out a bit from the gasket-ed sealing areas and causing very minor potential port restriction.

I always think of Dremel as being a very light duty tool, more of a hobbyist tool. There must be many
different Dremel's, do they come in many different flavors some with more power than others???

Here's the one I used
It's pretty tough, my son restores

Old honda ct70, showed him how to polish the dome and exhaust side
We use diamound compound to lap valves in on those little heads.

Hi! I would just like to ask those who use Nitto and Toyo, do R888 and NT01 have the same compound? I've read in a different forum that both tires have the same compound on a different carcass. How true is this? I've checked that there's quite a huge price difference.

I don't know.
Nitto tire is famous for their Drag Radials tires drag racing.
Ford 5.0 guys used them in the past.
One of the 1st tires used to break into 8 seconds flat ET 1/4 mile with 1,000 flywheel Hp.

Nitto tire got surpassed by Mickey Thompson Drag Radials ET's back in 2004.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas everyone.
I put a few bucks in the pot for ya Grumpy.
Winter is here in Indiana so Camaro and the hellcat are put up till spring.
Been busy knocking deer down for the freezer past few months.
Hope all is well with everyone..
