Hello from Southern Indiana

I have another 700R4 from a C4 Corvette.
I recall its a 1988 Model Year.
I used it for a while.
I burnt up the 3-4 clutch in it.
It was a GM CERTA Remaned Trans.
I also noted the special valvebody original was gone because it would never WOT upshift 3-4 at 114 mph unless I lifted on the gas pedal.
Guys alwasys stole the special C4 Valvebody in them for other projects.
I also cracked the Bell housing moving it one day.
My Bud Ed can TIG weld it & Get it done right.
He can knock it out in 1 night for me after work.

If interested I will sell it to you for a decent price.
The C4 Tailhousing & mainshaft worth $150.

I ended up rebuilding my original 1987 C4 700R4.
Got it done in 2010.

I am in Illinois.
Can meet you 1/2 way driving.
Will TIG Weld Repair the Bellhousing for You.

Should have picked it up by hand and carried it.
I picked it up with my Tractor lift arms & a chain.
How I broke the Bell.
Shit.
Its what I have here .

I am looking around this morning for 1987 - 1991 TPI 350 engines and transmissions.
Worth some money now.
Used to be give aways.
Supply must be drying up.

Yeah. I've noticed the same thing.

If I go with fitech or holley efi they offer solutions for controlling a 4l60e. I happen to have one collecting dust on my garage floor.

Have to go through a 4L60e top to bottom.
Big problems is the aluminum valve body bores wear bad.
Only know taking apart.
Inspect close.
700R4 uses cast iron Valvebody like the older TH400.
Hold up good.

I think Grumpy has charts on his site to identify exact 700R4s.
Make sure to verify what year your looking at.
Have to see the actual model year stamped in.
All C4 Auto bell cases have a large V casted in as shown.
