My wife thinks I am crazy, just got the 383 in and I already want to start a big block build ha..."

get used to it, wives have a totally different way to look at things, like when you buy car related parts in this hobby, that you spend several nights a week playing with...enjoying < from the average female point of view

but buying them expensive gold & diamond jewelry they stuff in a safe or box that they pull out only a couple times a year to look at..thats a bargain,an investment

I got similar verbal abuse when I bought my second c4 corvette ...
"WHY WOULD YOU NEED TWO YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE ONE!!!"

I just tell her it beats any other kind of addiction.
I ended up going with 2500 stall. Think I will start looking for some 72cc heads to throw on there to keep me pump friendly, then again, that's $1,000 - $2,000 I can put towards a bbc... Too many decisions.

Looks like 3.55 gear ratio? 1 3/4 drive shaft revolutions to 1 tire revolution. Tires spin in opposite direction, so I only jacked up one side.
I don't think I want a true posi, maybe a limited slip might be better than open.
Trying to decide if I need anything over a stock converter.
A accurate way is to take off the cover, ring should be marked how many teeth it has, take piece chalk and mark the pinion gear rotate it and count the teeth. Then divide ring gear teeth by pinion gear teeth and that is your ratio.
