Well here is a pic of my car with a few of the guys in my 3rd Gen. F-Body group, mine is the first Blue one, I bought the car new and it still has factory paint and the stock 305 5-speed and I want to build a 383 or LS engine for it with a ungraded 5 or 6 speed trans.

Plan is to make a low 12 sec. car but I want it streetable, not in a hurry but I'm just collecting ideas on the best parts to use, I haven't had time to read all your links yet but I'd like to use parts that are made in USA where possible and I don't want to use forced induction or power adders to reach my goal.
Budget is pretty open as I know it's going to require a complete new drive train including a strong rear end like a 12 bolt or Dana. As far as skill level I've been a non-automotive machinist for 25 years and have access to a complete machine shop but we are not set up for auto work so I want to buy a blueprinted short block and do all the assembly myself. I built a 318 and 360 Chrysler back in the 90's for an old Dart I have and they came out good, never put a Chevy engine together.

this whole sites set up as a reference material library,
below youll find the links and sub links that will hold an amazing depth of info to answer almost any question you might have , ID strongly suggest you start with these threads and sub linked info , a few days reading will save you thousands of dollars and months of work.

For a car that's 20 years old now, it looks to be in very nice condition.

Will you have to continue to drive this car while your are working on it, or do you have
another car for every day transportation???

The Camaro was my daily driver for 20 years but I have a new Dodge Challenger R/T for a daily driver now, so now I can make the Camaro the "fast one"!!!
