I have been lurking for a couple years now and finally decided to join as this site seems to be full (overwhelming) of great stuff. I very much appreciate that thorough research and verification is strongly encouraged here. I also like that, from what I have seen so far, everyone is courteous and very understanding toward us guys with less knowledge. I am a retired FAA employee, nearing age 63, with two daughters ages 41 and 39. My 41 year-old has a 360HP 1969 SS396 Chevelle with the TH400, will post that story later. I am currently taking the engine/TH400, cab and bed from a 454 powered Chevy C20 crew and putting them on a K30. So, 454 re-build and a 396 build as a spare for the Chevelle are on the to-do board.

Welcome to the forum from Oklahoma !!!

I have distant relatives in the Anchorage area that homesteaded way back when.

Have you been the FAA training center in OKC, I have worked out there a couple of times as a contractor.

yes welcome and were glad to have you join and hopefully post a few pictures of your cars/trucks etc. and projects

Yes, been to “Okie City” many times. Used to like driving around looking for projects. The green, 1970 SS454 Chevelle is probably still sitting in the owner’s driveway near the grain silos in El Reno the way I found it in the 80’s.
