HEY GRUMPYVETTE,
" a while back I was having one lifter constantly flowing excess valve train oiling in my roller 350 that was having oiling problems to the valve train. We spent alot of time running through the website and oil diagrams etc. I took your advise and pulled the manifold. I moved the one lifter that was flowing very heavy and the flow moved with the lifter. I also pulled the 2 front most lifters and I have good strong flow the diameter of the galley and almost enough to fill the lifter bore before draining down in both front lifters. I ordered some Crower oem style lifters. I have installed them. I tried prelubing the engines to get flow to the top. It took a minute to a minute and a half to get flow to most of the lifters. The 3 most forward ( ie last on drivers side have not prelubed) I used a 650 rpm drill then I tried a drill that has higher rpms. They didn't flow either time. Should I reinstall the manifold and try to run it and see if the pumping action of the lifter will start oil flow or is there a better idea?
Thanks"

I would suggest rotating the crank slowly with a breaker bar at least 6 full revolutions while a buddy spins the oil pump primer tool to maintain constant pressurized oil flow to see if that resolves the oil flow issue before proceeding, further as that should correct the problem, but if that doesn,t provide oil flow to the rockers at all points, ID suggest pulling the lifters and spinning the oil pump primer tool and watching for oil flow in the lifter gallery ports and dropping the lifters in one pair at a time into the lifter bores in the order to follow and intercept the oil flow as it proceeds thru the engine from the rear to the front and watch the results after each pair of roller lifters are installed, until you locate the blockage, point, or identify and correct the source of the problem
THESE THREADS SHOULD HELP

keep in mind the front plugs need to be a set depth or they can block oil flow
