I looked at those and tried to decide on a reason that they have spread the plenum, runner entrance location of the intake port runners ,
rather than locate the two paired runner entrances next to each other, now its not to simplify welding access simply because that could be handled differently.
the logical conclusion is spreading the port opening apart in the plenum, provides better fuel/air distribution , they might have found that when they tested the proto type design.
I don,t see any real advantage over , some of the older cast designs, other than in theory it can be built significantly lighter in weight, as the walls will be quite a bit thinner.

Ive found the older design works rather well, so I'm not convinced thats any advantage.
