a couple hours spent reading links and sub links will provide a very valuable reference point and back ground you will need, and sources for parts and info and detailed instructions on how to proceed/test and verify results
you did not indicate if your still running an O.M.E. points distributor, or electronic ignition upgrade , you'll obviously need to know the current systems limitations and condition and verify the TDC and timing curve to know what your starting with before you even contemplate changes
