Ive often wondered ,how many of you gentlemen refer to these threads when ,
your faced with some problem or trouble code and your looking too isolate or clear that issue or problem?
obviously pictures and detailed instructions in the threads, help immensely
I know that I very regularly look at the threads and charts along with my factory shop manual for both ideas and procedures too follow when,
I start by pulling trouble codes and grabbing a multi meter in most cases.
I've had an issue, and its rare to not find either the answer or at least a few very helpful suggestions on what too test or where too test!
so how about you gentlemen?
I don,t care if its a brake upgrade or a dash indicator that's out,
the first step, in correcting the problem, is too look over the related reference material and related threads on the subject.

I definitely do I educate or reeducate myself in the system them make educated decisions from that. I do believe thats how I found you and this forum grumpy.

I think you said it John when you said "re-educate" myself. I'm always purging something
to learn something again. I do try to purge something unless when it happens thou! hehehe!!!!!

I learn something every time I am here. Today for instance, I have always been real confused about return fuel systems. I misunderstood what the purpose of the regulator and where it goes into the system. So, Rick tells me to read his thread about the fuel system for a 500 hp engine. Now, I realize, I have enough line for the fuel system, but I may need a helper electric pump and return line to the tank. I already have the return line on the tank, but always thought it was a vent. Also, I thought it went in the system between the pump(mech or electric) and the carb on NA engine. Now I know that it hooks to the fuel long on the carb and is more like a relief valve instead of what I thought before. So reading the links and the pictures(which is more my speed) teaches me new theories and truths each time.

I'm glad, your reading through the threads , I can relate, in that one reason ,I started the whole web site, was mostly because I well remember, I had a hard time finding reliable, related info I could depend on , as fact when I was 16-30 or so and as a result I wasted a good deal of time and effort and money.
its always helpful to have a knowledgeable mentor... especially one willing to answer questions

I don't visit auto forums like I used to, but when popping back in, I like to check things out. If it's to be known, Grumpy............ you got it here somewhere. I've never seen a site packed with so many informative and instructional links............ You dig them up in your sleep or only during your waking hours?
