how many of you gentlemen would like to have chosen a different car?
or wish they had purchased several cars back in the days when they were far easier to afford and acquire!

I have an older friend thats in his early 80s he drives a 1968 mustang ,
(for the younger guys that may not know what one looks like)
(pictures of both mustang years)
BTW his mustang is a pontiac dark green (he repainted it about 20 years ago)
4 speed manual with mild stock 390

hes having coffee with me and says,

"you know I made a big mistake 30 years ago,
I always wanted a 1970 mustang,
I could have purchased one 30 years ago for damn near pocket change,
now they are priced like they are made out of solid silver bullion"

now I like my 1968, but I should have purchased both back in the late 1980s!

now I'm not a big ford mustang fan, but I doubt theres a single guy,
that is our age that does not regret not purchasing a few cars like,
L88 corvettes,
a GTO,
or firebird,
hemi dart,
hemi cudas,
440 six pack road runners,
454 chevelles,
427 camaros
401 AMX
or a boss 429 mustang
at some point in their lives
I'm sure almost every guy reading this ,
wishes he could go back a few decades,
and purchase cars that are now no longer affordable to own.

They started getting expensive for Me Grumpy in the early 1990s.
Wanted a 1964 GTO bad.
Found 1 40 miles away.
Post coupe model.
Texas car. Broke down in Illinois.
Original Muncie 4 car.
428 engine transplanted.
Tripower car.
$ 3200.00.
Sandwich Illinois.
It was 1993 year.
Car was in Primer red. Rust free.
Should have bought the GTO.
Liked Firebirds.
In the same town was a 1969 Trans Am.
Restored. Gorgeous. Sat in a display window. I knew then someday that Trans Am would be worth over $100,000.00.
Maybe $50k value then 1993.

Waited. No one wanted that GTO.
Sat outside a repair shop.

Found my 1970 Trans Am next year.
Of course bought it.

I like Heavy Metal Chevelle too.
1970 my favorite.
Friend had one and I used to drive it alot.
Fun.
Drove nice.

I have always wanted a 69 Camaro, that would be my choice if I could go back! But now they are one of the most expensive muscle cars out there!

I wish I would have kept all the cars I had.. but life happens and young men are chasing more than dreams!
1967 mercury cougar
1969 nova
1970 chevelle
1972 amx
1966 chevelle
1970 chevy c20
Always wanted a 1969 trans am
