Hi, just wanted to do a quick introduction. My name is Jim and I'm from a town called Redding located in California. I joined the forum to meet some like-minded people and hopefully to have a little fun.

I do computer work up here for a small business.I've been working in IT for many years now.

I look forward to being a contributor in the community.

Mods, my apologies if this is in the wrong section, please move it. Thanks.

I didn't know California was still there, I thought it had slide into the ocean by now! ;)

Oh BTW, Welcome to the forum Jim, what do you drive for fun ? Please look around and post questions...we like questions here. They must like them, I keep asking lots of them and someone keeps answering them.

I missed the date. But the comment still applies - you can't say anything anymore without offending someone.

Would you hire these two for anything? Or this? This is what Pelosi and the Dems want!2hpXOsR.jpg freak1.jpg Welcome to America.jpg
There will never be a guncq8.jpg greater President than this man was.

And to top it off.Dummies in office who don't want to find the truth. Or go by the laws on the books as they want everything interpreted by one of the first 2 above.arguing-with-a-liberal-on-gun-control.jpg

And this is what it all boils down to in our Society today.

That last panel with Santa - And if you can't see the future--look up the past for it will repeat itself when all remains have been forgotten or erased . - that is exactly why they are working so hard to erase history.
I'm 52, but I remember that Walter Cronkite delivered the news, just the news, and it was up to you to figure out how you felt about what he was reporting.
I just saw a Johnny Carson rerun where WC was a guest, and he was a really intelligent normal guy and he spoke about his "craft" of being a reporter.

Another Great Reporter

Paul Harvey broadcasted “If I Were The
Devil.”
Quote: 1963ss posted this , but its well worth reposting
"In 1965, Paul Harvey broadcasted “If I Were The Devil.” I am posting the
transcript of this on Fresh Manna Today. It is really amazing to realize over 47
years ago how accurately he “prophesied” the future spiritual condition of the
United States. Many of his statements were considered ridiculously outlandish at
that time in history. Yet, we find ourselves today…
If I were the devil … If I were the Prince of Darkness, I’d want to engulf the
whole world in darkness. And I’d have a third of it’s real estate, and four-fifths of
its population, but I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the
tree — Thee. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States.
I’d subvert the churches first — I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the
wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: ‘Do as you
please.’
“If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches at
war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves; until each in its turn
was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media
fanning the flames. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young
intellects, but neglect to discipline emotions — just let those run wild, until before
you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every
schoolhouse door.
“If I were the devil I’d take from those, and who have, and give to those wanted
until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And what do you bet? I could get
whole states to promote gambling as thee way to get rich? I would caution against
extremes and hard work, in Patriotism, in moral conduct. I would convince the
young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun, that what you see
on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could
lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I
were the devil I’d just keep right on doing on what he’s doing. Paul Harvey, good
day.”

Truer words were never spoken.
You would think he had a time machine and went into the future. But sadly, here we are.
It took 200 years to make this country good........... and only 30 to throw it all in the crapper.

ALL Democracies have fallen in LESS than 200 years and MOST from within because of power struggles between its leaders.

Sound familiar to the U.S. right now?
