Hi gearheads
Is Crane cams out of business,i Lost lifter and one lobe from My 509 bbc
Morel lifters with 220 spring pressures lotsof street driving, great lifters no problems to rev to 8000 rpm
I made that engine 10 years ago,all bearings was great shape
So i need billet hydraulic roller but i dont know is there any off The shelf billet cams any more

both offer billet cam cores , and high quality hydraulic and solid roller lifter as an extra cost option

I did order custom cam from Mike Jones,
He Said that there is major shortage of cam cores right now

Cam# BBC, HR75375-116
242/242 @.050"
.375"/.375" Lobe Lift
116 LSA
My engine is 509 bbc
10.5 compression
Afr 305 heads
Dart tunnelram intake with 100mm throttle body
2000cc injectors
Twin 70mm turbos+intercoolers
E85 Fuel
Full sequential injection and ignition

I had some problems with iddle and low rpm cruise tuning mainly because injectors are so big
But i think that cam gives nice vaquum so its easier to tune

did you get a billet/ hardened cam core?
or cast core cam?
what rockers?
generally any more info appreciated.

I get billet core cam,but Mike was not sure that can he get core with iron distributor Gear
Im using comp cams promagnum Rockers, morel lifters and afr solid roller springs
Morel hydraulic roller lifters are great,no problems with 240lbs seat pressures
I had Hi rpm misfires and i tought that i had Valve float so i asembled solid roller springs but reason for misfires was Ford edis ignition box that i was using
So My plan is to use that cam from Mike, buy new Set morel lifters and use 180-200lbs Valve springs
Oiling system is stock and bearings was perfect condition but i think that i use melling high volume pump with 60 psi spring because that motor revs to 8000rpm and turbos need oil allso
Small cam but boost and tunnelram intake moves Peak Power

IMG_20211204_094331.jpghere is broken lifter and one main bearings, bbc oiling system is great only Corvette spring in pump and 10.5 compression motor with 14psi boos rewing over 7000 rpm in track

pictures like that make my wallet shudder and give me tears

a few links that might help with future mods

Yes, new Set lifters and camshaft, actually cam was not bad we have one company that copy camshaft lobe and regrind worn lobe
But i want new cam that is More for boost

If you are turning that many RPM's, why don't you go to a solid roller lifter setup ?
.

Lotsof street driving, that s reason for hydraulic roller
I try to keep rpms down but i dont know why that engine wants to revs so high and Make Power
Street tires and i can Loose traction in 120mph
