I contacted a couple truck rental places to see what ,my options are.
example penske truck rental,
the rental fees on a 26 ft ,box truck ,
with a lift gate would cost. they only rent to businesses, luckily I own one,

they basically said it must be a round trip, returned to the original rent site,
they don't currently have any available,

and the rental cost would be about $200 a week,
plus I supply fuel and plus $1.00 a mile,
the truck gets about 12 MPG
now if its about a 2700 mile round trip,
thats $2700, in mileage, 229 gallons of fuel at maybe $4=$900,
plus $200 rental fees,
or maybe $3800, per trip and I think I'm looking at at least maybe two trips..
that gets damn expensive.
theres the option of the storage pods that you pack, and lock,
and they deliver to your new address,
but the pods are both smaller size and have rather restrictive weight limitations
and they quoted me something like $3000 per pod moved to texas,
that might take 3-4 pods..again damn expensive..I could use some advice and ideas on moving?

Buy a truck and a cargo trailer and sell them when youre done yes its a big upfront cost but you can recoup most/all your money back otherwise you're going to toss out 8 - 10 grand that you will never see again

I typed in long distance movers into google and come across these guys. Don't know anything about them but what I would look for is a company that will pack up and load everything then unload too. It is alot on an older person to have to try and man-handle the things we accumulate in life.
