Is there a Dodge or MOPAR registry like Pontiacs have the PHS, Ford has the Marty Report. I don't know squat about these cars. I was looking through Hemmings - I really thought I would find something solid. There are lots of books but I've developed a library of crap books that looked good in brief descriptions. A "Black Book" like Corvette has would be fantastic! I'd like to find out what parts (body and drive train) are interchangeable between models. There seems to be a lot of Forums - does anybody know if one stands out better than others?

Asking my friend Bob.
He will let me know for you Rich.
Let you know soon.

Bob is not sure of the best Forum for Mopar E Bodies.
He has a 1970 Charger 383.
& a 1969 Super Bee. Its going to get a 572 ci Hemi.
He said the 70's Charger Forums are the best to learn more.
He's on there daily.

Brian, which one is he on daily? What is the breakdown of body designations (for example: For bodies, which cars in Dodge and Plymouth are A, B, C and so on? I really need a book that is all inclusive. I spent quite some time last night going through Amazon for books and the reviews are not that good. Are there 2 levels of performance in 383s? I see there are Magnums and then there are High performance (HPs) or HO as I seen on air cleaner decals. I cannot find anything on the Internet searches.

I will ask during lunch Rich.
He usually snoops around.
Just watches

He is on the 70 Charger Registry.

Look for this book Rich.
GALEN GOVIER'S BOOKS...... "PRODUCTIONS AND OPTION CODES".

You bought an E body Mopar Rich .
70 Charger is a B body.

I just need the details to do an accurate appraisal for collector car insurance. Haggerty suggests $42,000 for replacement value. It's lower than my current co. but they will insure me longer while I'm trying to get it home. I ordered the book on Amazon, I got the last one at 75% off. Spent this entire morning arguing with Texas DMV over collecting and holding sales tax. They're are a tough place to deal with, I don't understand some of these states and their goofy taxes. Why in some states must you pay sales tax every year is beyond me!

Join the 70 Charger Registry Rich.
PM your user name to me.
Don't use anything Corvette or Chevy. Mopar guys are a tough bunch.
They only like Pontiac guys like me.
I will tell Bob to look out for your posts questions.
He can help better than I can.

Thanks Brian, I'm sitting on my thumbs waiting for a dozen or so return calls from transport companies and brokers. I only have until the 19th to get those cars into my possession otherwise I wont have insurance coverage. I cannot even move them to a storage facility in the interim. I not a big time Mecum buyer so I don't get any play room to keep them there for a couple of weeks. I could pay 10X the CC rate and get regular car insurance but I haven't got an answer for acceptance on that yet!

I don't. Know Rich.
I am just a Mechanic, C4 Corvette owner, & long time Pontiac guy.

I have a friend that is a longtime CDL Over the road truck driver.
No longer works for himself.
No car transporter.
You need to Buy a Double. enclosed car trailer. Pull with your Duramax truck.
