thanks for posting that info, I doubt it would work for THAT application I was referring too, but its going to be POTENTIALLY VERY USEFUL for some other totally unrelated projects I can think of!

Ok you don't have to sugar coat your response. Are you wondering about it's ability to work with solvents ?

Actually ,I was both concerned with the plastic tubing and the caps ability to handle long term exposure to solvents and short term exposurer HEAT as I frequently use BOTH STEAM and solvents to clean valve train components of crud

I would think the caps with have similar properties as the tubing. Bottom line what would it cost to find out......$25.
The USP Plastics website says working temperatures are -40 to 180 F. Not knowing how they define "working temperatures",
it still might be fine to 212 F. Seems it would be nice to see whats inside, where that would not be possible with SS.

Have you already found something that works ?

not yet, but I really do appreciate your input, as that clear tubing looks ideal for the powder and shot reservoirs on my shot shell ammo reload tool.
Im sure Ill find the correct container theres no huge rush and like most things ill eventually find what turns out to be the ideal source or product if i just keep looking
