I need your help gentlemen
my brother-in-laws original air conditioning compressor on his 1974 big block corvette has just been found to be trash, it wore out, so hes looking to replace it with something , thats NEWER AND MORE EFFICIENT than the original compressor design, hopefully something thats easy to swap over too, so any ideas?
 
The original 1974 Corvette AC compressor was very durable. Positive piston design.
They just did not like crankshaft RPM's above 5000.
Cutout switch on most applications @ WOT. But not all applications.

Have the C4 1984-87 R4 AC conpressor. Ok design.

Then there is the SANDEN design. Many variations made & confusing to pick from.

4- Season AC compressors good. Made in Texas USA.
