I Was Taking A Ride With A Neighbor In His 2014 Chrysler a few day ago,
it sounded like, and felt like, a front drivers side caliper locked up,
I got the car up on a lift and pulled both front tires,
surprisingly.. all the brakes look good????
brakes still work...????
so further investigation....required
I put the HF code reader on, and look for trouble codes.

codes indicate the front drivers side ABS brake sensor is defective.
I call napa, they don,t have the sensor in stock, but can have it in 48 hours
asking $40 each, for the front two sensors,

ROCK AUTO, $16 each plus $7 shipping thats less than 1/2 the price for two,

SO,
I ordered from rock auto since its only a sensor and the brakes are good.
$38 for both delivered

I got the sensors today, I call him over,...I open the package, its name brand parts,
they look identical to factory parts
5-to-7 minutes to get the car up on the lift and remove both the front tires
5-to-7 minutes to figure out how the $%^&* electrical connection ,sensor quick connector works
( WATCH THE VIDEO, YOU PRESS THE LITTLE TAB)
and pull and twist slightly
one you get the little %^&** loose
1 minute to remove and replace the 10 mm bolt and reconnect the sensor lines
and your good to go..after snapping the connector harness back into retention clips.
its amazing how a failing sensors can make your car operate badly or often sensor malfunctions seem to be an issue and how frequently a damn,
&*()(& ... defective sensor can make driving your car a P.I.T.A. or un-derivable

my neighbors 2014 Chrysler lower drivers side plastic rocker trim pannel, came loose.
its held on by about 8 plastic push through fasteners he called the dealer and was quoted something like $180 to have it re-installed
it looks ok, except for the sheared off plastic fasteners,
I found a set for less than $12
so we shall soon see how difficult the re-install process may be ??

I assume this will be similar ( sorry its a crap quality video) but it should not be a hugely different process

Anything done at a Dealership will cost a minimum of 1 hours labor and at most all are over $100.00 now per hour.

Book time doesn't mean JS anymore.

My 2006 300c had a plastic ring that holds a spring break. I could NOT get it out of park. Dealer wanted $500+ for parts, plus labor and towing. I asked around ( after driving a friends car to town. mine was in her driveway). Oreilleys wanted $39 for part, but an employee found a steel replacement for her car for something like $15!! Watched a video and fixed it myself. Went back and gave her a nice tip$$.
