IF youve got a C3 you should read thru the series

useful body mount info c-3

"does anyone have a diagram showing where each mount is and how they're numbered? The mount just fwd of the rear wheels is completely gone on mine. Makes it damn tough to install sidepipes :bang

I looked at the mount up at the front of the birdcage and it looks to be in great shape. I didn't even have to trim the body to get the headers to fit as many guys seem to have to do. Am I crazy to try to replace just the two in front of the rear wheels? They seem very accessible and I'd really like to just get the 'pipes on and get it on the road!

"

Most of the parts catalogs have a decent picture of the locations, but:

#1 is behind the side cutout in the front fender, just forward of the firewall. This one is a nut & bolt arrangement and a splash shield must be removed to access it.

#2 is in the kick panel - just aft of the firewall behind the vent. This is a bolt into a cage nut on the frame

#3 is accessed through a panel on the front of the rear wheel well. Four small screws to remove the access panel and this is also a bolt and cage nut affair like #2

#4 is on the frame above the axle area. The cage nut is in the body (rear package shelf or below the convertible hinge support. The bolt goes up from the bottom.

Same on both sides...
