Well wuts up, this is my first post on this grumpy website, hope I get some good feed back to help me with my build.

I want to create my impala with a look that screams my style, but a motor that is faster than the average daily driver, but reliable enough to be my daily driver. (when I say daily driver I mean it, I drive this impala rain or shine...

What it looked like when I bought it

Heres my engine put a new distributor, new 4 barrel edlebrock carb, new aluminum high rise intake manifold, ram horn headers, 2 dual chamber flowmasters, replaced the push rods. And from what I was told I have 194 headers, but I don't believe so.

And yes I installed hydraulics

one of my College friends drove a 63 SS Impala that looked like a clone of that car, right down to the color, his started out as a power glide trans but we changed it to a muncie 4 speed and eventually built a 406 sbc for it, after beating the 327 it had in it to death running the crap out of it.
but he must have built and re-built and modified that 327 at least 5 times over about 10 years first

My brothers drove those cars (61-64) when I was growing up. So they hold a special
place in my heart for the history they represent in my life. Looks like it cleaned
up real nice, don't seem to have any rust.

Did you paint it or Is that the same color as when you bought it? Lighting
can do strange things to the color in pictures some times.

BTW, welcome to the forum!.....

If I owned that car ID stick a 454-496big block and a 4l80e over drive trans in it and a dana 60 rear differential with some 3.73:1 rear gears,as fast as my cash flow allows, I know several guys that have done that with 1963-67 impalas and every last guy was amazed at how fast those cars can be and how responsive, the big block and overdrive makes a good combo and those cars have huge engine compartments

Hers a question newb question, but I'm gonna keep my 13 inch wire rims on my impala till I get old, so what is a good gear ratio for 155/80r13 tires...
there smaller than old school VW bug tires, but it's the look I want.
