As I posted earlier I had the power window in my wifes mercury crap out due to the regulator failing, I ordered the replacement regulator from ROCK AUTO, and got the factory replacement quality replacement ordered for $102, its on its way, so I decided to go remove the defective one while I await its replacements arrival.
trust me when I mention bending down and looking for screws on a lower door is not a good deal of fun with most of your left leg black and blue and tender and noticeably resistant to movement.

I walked out to the shop to work and BEFORE I turned on the ceiling fans and roof e vac fans, the inside shop tempo was 104F here in south Florida, that dropped rapidly once the fans were switched on to the outside temp of 94F but its still too hot to be comfortable working on the car unless you have poured a bit of water over your head and shirt to allow evaporation to help, and yeah I could have installed air conditioning but the power bill is already destroying my limited budget so thats not even an Idea ill look into with a large shop.
now most of the year here in Florida the outside temps tend to be in the mid 80Fto low 90F, winter temps rarely dip below 40F, and Ive seen only twice in the last 50 years where it snowed here and that melted as it hit the ground, but its also rather rare for the inside shop temps to exceed about 95F BEFORE I turn on the FANS

Let me check .......Nope, my "Give-A-Damn" is busted !!!  HeHeHe!!!

Sorry I just couldn't muster up any sympathy here for you Grumpy !!! That's pretty
standard for July and August in Oklahoma.

Seriously, I do feel for you with your injury at this time!

Whoops! I screwed up my reply location. Sorry.

Do you have the fans in summer mode? Otherwise you can be pulling hot air down from where it's trapped above. Also, your exhaust fans are too small for that space.

You need to build a water evaporator mist spray air conditioner Grumpy.
Garden hose fed system.
Push around on a cart Mobile unit.
Keep you cool working in heat.

that does give me an IDEA, Id bet if I placed a couple water sprinkler,s on the out side so they keep the shingles wet on hot days, keeping the shop roof wet like if it was raining might drop the shops internal temp a few degrees

You could Grumpy do that. Might make a mess of your tools though.
Was thinking of using a 1970s Full Size B body GM car air conditioner Condensor.
Dril numerous .015. inch holes in S pattern tubing.
Cap one end. Connect garden hose on other end.
Put a shop fan direct behind water mist homemade airconditioner.

I went out to mow the 5 acres today before the temps got unbearable, the grass was still damp early because its rained every day, at least a bit for weeks now, and driving the tractor caused clouds of blood sucking mosquitoes to form a cloud, around the tractor, I was forced to stop for a few minutes too spray myself down with deet, AND I ALSO WORE ONE OF THOSE NEW CUTTERS brand little fan with a refill that in theory makes you smell bad to mosquitoes, this noticeably reduced the number actually landing and biting , but the real help arrived as soon as it got really hot at about 9 am, the clouds of mosquitoes were soon being decimated by a similar cloud of mosquito hawks, diving thru their ranks, the problem is simply theres billions of mosquitoes and far less dragonfly's or mosquito hawks , and even if they eat their weight in mosquitoes, they barely make a dent in the population, but its still good to see hundreds eaten alive , kind of justice after the little s.o.b.s try to eat me alive

ARE YOU SAYING YOUR ABOUT TO BE A DADDY AGAIN?

well congrats!
and I know from experience you won,t be getting much sleep over the next two-three months,
because junior will want to verify your availability every 2-4 hours around the clock, for awhile.
I remember all my kids would wake up, and only drink about 2-3 ounces of formula, need changing, and wanted to be carried around every few hours for the first few months
OF course pictures of the new arrival would be nice if you choose to post them

Congrats! on your new son!
they are a ton of work, but until they get old enough to start getting into everything in the home, they can get too, they are usually very easy to deal with, even if time consuming, and once they start saying (NO!) the fun starts

The older. boy gets into everything Grumpy.
Hands tools and parts to me.
