the cliffs notes here is basically a guy got fed up hurting built motors in his tuned port third gen trans am and decided he was gonna boost the piss out of a junk motor and if it breaks it wont hurt his pocket.... apparently all the stars aligned because the car clipped off a 9.37@150 and the motor is still going strong! sadly his th400 took a crap on him. many build details and good pics in that thread i thought you guys would be interested to see.

that thread is a 172 pages of filler but theres just a great hero story in all of it.

Kinda reminds me of the 5.0 Guys blowing engines in early years with Vortech Blowers & then YSi series.
My friend Ed called me one day for help. Drove to him & checked the engine out.
Burnt both Bank of headgaskets, Torched through the dividing walls of Cylinder Head Trickflow R series.
Torched his 5.0 Ford Motorsport block deck surface.
Took .020 " clean up on a Van Norman resurfacer.
Block & heads.
New set of Custom Probe pistons. New Titanium Valves.
New Calico coated Race Clevites.
New Total Seal Max seal Rings.
Cometic Headgaskets.
That Piece of Shit Aeromotive Inline Fuel pump with #10 AN Inlet & Outlet went into the garbage can.
$600 Shitbox junk pump.
A Real Fuel Pump went in...
A Weldon. 2000 Gallons per hour. #12 AN in & out.
$2K Fuel pump.
In mid 8's @160 mph.
