its fairly common for thieves to follow delivery trucks during the holidays and steal UN-attended deliveries
so if you ordered parts try to have someone available to receive them at your home

its also fairly common for thieves to mug anyone at a ATM, if they look like an easy victim,or to watch delivery trucks and just go by and pick up stuff left on door steps.
I can see this type of theft easily happening, when I ordered 4 tires for my corvette several years ago, the delivery guy left them in my drive way, just inside the fence about 20 feet from the street but about 160 feet from my home!
when I called to complain, the stupid bastard answering the phones comments was
"well if you got your tires what are you complaining about"
The only reason I got the tires was because I heard the truck pull up, and leave before I could get out he was long gone, and if you leave $1100 worth of new corvette tires, within 20 feet of a street how long do you think they would remain there?
