just want some reassurance on combo choices

Hooked Aero Chambers with 3 inch offset inlet and Offset Outlet.
Need the Offsets on GM F body often with 3 inch tail pipes to clear over the rear axle and gas tank.
Especially 2nd Generation.
I have the Torque Tech 3 inch kit on my 70TA.
Torque Tech shut down because the owner retired.
I definitely need offset. I have some borlas on my other 69 Camaro. I back halfed it so the muffler had to be moved a lot closer to the collector than I wanted, but they sound good. Seem to perform well. It's been at least 12 years since I built that car, so starting over on a new one is fun stuff. Technology has evolved quite a bit since then. Thanks for all the info. You guys rock. I'm steadily gathering parts. Have the heads in, waiting on the block now. Hopefully I will get it next week and start the clearancein and machining process to get this build kicked off. Thanks for all the input and time you all have given my questions.

BTW, this car is local to me and it's a very sweet ride. I haven't seen him out and about lately. That car is super clean though. We use the same body guy. My other Camaro was shot right after Shay's. Those ls guys he used from Lacey Springs are no joke. I lost a good bit of money racing Culver. That was before I knew what he had stuffed in a rx-7. That car would flat out busy your ass. That was years ago before the culversC had the name they have now. If you see an LS supercharged rx-7 roll up next to ya, just let it roll on by was the lesson I learned that night at spacegate.

Power to weight Ratio.
Racing Money.
Small Block can do it.
Take a different plan than chosen.
Boost a good path.
Need at least $20 k to start.

Big Chevy 540-572.

Pontiac car Race 455.
Stroker 480.
Larger combos Ok.
Too much money.

505 BBC in a Chevy II with a 250 plate of giggle gas didn't stand a chance. Motor dynoed at 725. Traction wasn't the best. The road was dirty and dusty that evening. It wasn't a blow out though. But I learned when someone won't let you look under the hood, there's a damn good reason. He let me post race...

I never weighed the duece, but it was light. Tube frame, glass front. Full tub, glass hood and trunk, aluminum interior.

That's the problem with real world playing on the streets.
Roads are imperfect.
Often dusty dirty like you said.
Has to be a balanced drag car and road race car .
Camaro is Good.
Corvette is much better. Can't launch real hard with the IRS rear.
Need brute power to come on smooth.
A Pontiac Trans Am is excellent.
Early years 1970-74.
Much lighter than later disco years by 500-800 lbs.

He had something serious LS.
Likely 1200+ Hp.

Ladder bars are used by near all Chicago Street Racers now.
The 1968 Chevelle I am working on now in my thread here on Grumpys is Ladder bar layout.

I have ladder bar rear in my other 69 Camaro. Car I'm building now will be multi leaf. I built my other bars. I made them where you have a disconnect where it let's one side drop further down for road driving. It helps with bumps etc. When you want it rigid just put the bolt back in and it locks it back together for the track. They are pretty low profile, so I retained clearance for my floorpan. That car is mostly a tube chassis. I managed to not put a cage in it after the back half. I can make one pass down the track, then I haveta watch since I don't have a cage an exceed the et time for our track without a cage. It's mostly just a street driver these days. I just cruise around a couple of times in it a month.

Alot the cars we have worked on in the last years have no cage either.
All Street Racers or Want to Bee's.
Just Dangerous.
1000+ HP.

I know Damn well they will not handle like a Corvette or Trans Am when spinning out.
No way to recover on the street.
Its going to flip and be on the Roof with No Rollacge around the driver.

I agree, not safe. Just looks better on the street and much easier to get in and out of

That car is not even running or I'm blind as hell. No serpentine belt and crank pully/balancer /alternator/Ac not turning.

I could be wrong--but why would you let an engine run that long without cooling?
