Leaking C3 calipers

I haven't spoke with Rich in some time. I got a mail from him a couple of weeks ago, but that's it. Indeed he is dealing with some weighty health issues :- ///

'wishing him the best and get well soon!

I don't know that I'd want to take that chance but that's just me. One of the first things I replaced on my Vette was everything in the whole brake system and I do mean everything. It may not run (It Does) but it will stop

My thoughts to the T !

GROOOAAANNNNN

Both his calipers are leaking again. Been telling him for months now to replace his calipers and be done with them.

Now, he has found a guy in the Netherlands parting out his 1974. He's going to drive up there to pull the calipers for $100.

I told him that nonetheless, he is taking a risk on using picked parts.

There used to be an old car commercial and the line in it was Pay me now or pay me later. I think this applies to your friend depending how long the donor car has been setting he is still taking a chance

Grumpy I have a 1976 corvette thats been up on jack stands for 30 years , my dad bought it, the brakes were not working correctly, he parked it and just never got back to fixing it!
so now I have taken the time too look it over and obviously the tires are dry-rotted, and need to be replaced and the calipers are not working on one front and one rear brake.

youll obviously want to disassemble the brakes and calipers and drain and replace the brake fluid,
the brake rotors and calipers should be carefully cleaned lubed and reassembled and tested,
theres an excellent chance that you should replace the calipers and rotors and checking the wheel bearings and master cylinder would be a great idea,

after you replace the tires , get those balanced, check , and replace ALL the fluids , check the shocks, fuses, lights and replace the engine oil,
ALL the fuel, oil and brake fluids and were applicable filters, grease the ball joints and wheel bearings etc.

PICTURES WOULD BE GREAT??+
