Strange unidentified knock from engine
GRUMPY?
my engine has developed a knock, I did a trick that an old timer taught me a long time ago to see if it was a rod, which is to take off one plug wire at a time from the distributor cap and if the knock goes away it's a rod and it's that cylinder, well it didn't stop. Also, this knock has been happening for I'd say a good 400 miles.

I then thought that maybe it's a sticky lifter so I put some seafoam in the engine which did quiet it down. my friend and I listened around the engine in various spots with a stethoscope but couldn't pinpoint anything.

Today I got home from work and decided to see how it sounds, well after startup it really wasn't better than before, maybe a little, but after it warmed up it did quiet down again quite a bit but was still there.

Any ideas, wrist pin maybe?
Here's the videos, not sure in what order but I tell you in the video. I don't think the video shows a lot of difference though but you can really tell a difference in person.... CAUTION you need a high speed connection

If your local to west palm bch fla. I can help?
a logical set of tests should help, isolate the cause quickly, read the linked info below
that sound would make me do a compression test , you may have detonation damage on a piston, if the compression test shows all the cylinders are within about 7%-10% then Id suspect a burnt rocker and then readjust all the valves as the engines idling as a first test.
and be aware if the engine over heated a top compression ring, that ring might have expanded enough for the piston ring ends to butt, expand and lock the ring in the bore for an instant, resulting in cracking or deforming the piston groove, if it did the compression ring seal will have been mostly destroyed(PERMANENTLY)
The sound sounds like a defective rocker , or busted valve spring, to me, you should be able to pull the valve covers one at a time and place your thumb firmly on each rocker applying pressure while the engine idles, if the rockers defective or valve springs busted, youll both hear and feel it binding and the sound will change as you apply some pressure.
once you locate the defective rocker (OR ROCKERS) or busted valve spring, youll want to replace them.
