LT1/'75 Firebird

I'm in the middle, actually hopefully past the middle, of swapping and LT1/4L60E into my '75 Formula 350. This is my third LT1 swap and 5th overall late/early swap. It gets easier each time, but this one was even easier than the LT1/4l60e into my '67 Impala. Didn't even have to mod the x-member, just slid it back and drilled the holes. The a/c cleared with a little thump on the engine cross member and the power steering lines even bolted up using adapters. This one is going so well it scares me!

you realise that anything going that smoothly is DOOMED!

the day you get it complete look for a passanger jet to loose its landing gear and have it crash thru the cars roof, or some kid to test drive it and run over a tree stump removing the transmission pan, its just the way hot rodding maintains its ballance

Well we are doing the harness and drive shaft ourselves, so we ain't home free yet and we don't even know if the motor will start! :D

I fired the LT1 today, didn't have the crank wire connected, somehow missed it in the harness. I jumped the fuel pump with the modified solenoid I made for such things and started it to make sure it was o.k. I didn't have the 02 sensors in place yet so it was just a quick fire up to make sure it was mechanically sound. All went well, so far. ;)
