I have a 94 LT1 Camaro that will be linked to a 96 Camaro T56 with .5 od in 6th gear, the exhaust I'll use is my current one which is a 2" dual with X pipe and magnaflow wideopen mufflers, 295/35/R17 rims and a 3.08 rear end. My question is what would be a good cam as this will be a cruiser? Also the car will be fuel injected.

if it was my car,

crower 00576 cam (its usually worth 15 plus hp over the HOT CAM from chevy) but its only good with a manual trans

84576 lifters springs retainers (GOOD IDEA)

or just springs and retainers if you choose to re-use old lifters (not ideal) with new cam and voids warranty
but in any case youll NEED the better springs to get additional clearance

be aware that a cam like this will easily come close too max out the stock injectors at peak rpms so tuning becomes an issue if you constantly try to push the upper rpm limits

Wow, I was always under the impression that a roller cam was upwards of $1,000. I may have to rethink that when I'm ready to put a new cam in mine

look closely at the prices
the cams only $330
but the lifters, springs and retainers add an additional $595
add the correct self aligning roller rockers $345
http://www.jegs.com/i/COMP+Cams/249/1618-16/10002/-1

total $1270

Id also point out that youll likely want to add, cylinder head , valve cover, and exhaust and intake gaskets, new valve seals , oil filter and 6 quarts of oil at a minimum, be sure to check clearances and rocker geometry and check piston to valve clearance

now without a doubt SOMEONE WILL POINT OUT THE STOCK roller lifters can be reused, AND WHILE THATS TRUE YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES IF DOING THAT
