Main bearing clearances.

I put my main cap on with the bearings in them last night and torqued my ARP main bolts to the 75 LBS. my machinist told me to with the ARP paste that came with them. I torqued them in 25 LBS. increments (25 LBS., 50 LBS. and then 75 LBS.). I checked the clearances 90° to the parting lines where the bearings meet on both sides of the groove on the bottom bearings. They where all .003" ± .0002". I numbered all the bearings when I took them out and cleaned them.

I checked all the rod journal "outside diameters" on my crank. They all measured 2.099" ± .0002. I checked them in just about every position I could and they were the same in every position. I still have to check the rods with the bearings in and torqued to the 45 LBS. the rods call for.

So far everything is going pretty well. ;)
