I don,t know about you guys but I watch my gauges pretty close, now Ive got a trans fluid oil cooler for the trans fluid, and thats rock steady at 185F-190F and it rarely changes, and today Im sitting in traffic and the vettes oil temps sitting exactly where I want it too be at 215F, the oil pressures steady at 25 psi at idle and fine, but the coolant temp was slowly cycling between 225F-and 230F, (slightly higher than usual) while Im stuck in traffic and it only dropped to about 220F while cruising at 35-45 in traffic, so when I got to where I was headed too, and that took over an hour, I stopped and checked the oil level, I was a 1/2 qt low , nothing to be really concerned with as Ive got a custom built 10 qt oil pan and I know I can run as little as 6 qts with zero problems, so I check the fans are working, the radiator feed areas free of crud, plastic bags etc, and everything else seems ok, the oils clean, theres no trouble codes, loose belts, stuck T-stats or other indicators of problems etc.
I dumpped 3/4s qt of marvel mystery oil that I had in the back, into the engine and started for home, after 15 minutes Im in the same darn slow traffic but the coolant temps sitting at 220F and the oil temps at 210F, once I got up to 35-45 mph the oil temp stayed at 210f but the coolant temp dropped to 190f, now thats a significant differance and I have a hard time beleiving that 3/4 qt of MMO was totally responcable for the improvement, yet nothing else changed, EITHER that MMO works better than I think or Im missing something?

ITS just a HIGH QUALITY HIGH DETERGENT, light machine oil that can be added to your regular oil ,(usually at a ratio of 1 qt to 5-7 qts of your regular oil) or a few ounces to a tank of fuel, that disolves crud and generally lubricates the valve train better than some standard oils as it seems to get into the tight clearances very effectively, its not so much an additive as its a oil with higher than normal tendency to desolve crud/sludge/and other build up oil residue

want to do a simple test, listen to your engine carefully, then dump a qt into the oil, I think youll find that after about 15 minutes the sound has changed and it runs just a bit smoother
