matching nitrous kits to the application

ok, Ive worked with several kits on several dozen engines and while I surely don,t profess to be even close to an expert , I have learned several things in the process.
first, almost ANY 50-100-150hp WET FLOW nitrous kit, theres nothing else that IVE SEEN that will produce as much hp per dollar as a nitrous kit, but youll want to start off with the kits lowest setting and get familiar with both the installation and the use of nitrous, and its tuning requirements line backing off on the ignition advance curve during the use of nitrous and hot to read spark plugs and detect detonation in general before you proceed to the more advanced power levels.
in most cases taking the time to read and understand the directions that came with the kit will be a big help in diagnosing some potential problems you may run into, if you fail to follow directions, during the installation

can make a very noticeable improvement in the power levels almost any V8, HOLLEYS new cross hair plate works fairly well

wet flow kits supply both fuel and nitrous, so they throw a fuel laced fog, dry kits throw just nitrous and relies on the computer to add fuel on some efi systems which can occasionally result in burnt pistons because the ECU can,t respond fast enough but you get the bigger boost if you've matched the other components to the use of a nitrous kit. and single plane intakes with runners that give almost a direct line of site, from the common plenum to the back of the intake valve tend to give better results,

than dual plane intakes with twin plenums
