Minor Panic , Losing My Mind This Am

I don,t know how you may function, in your home, but in mine I always place my concealed carry handgun\
in the same exact location if Its not on my person.
when I get dressed or undressed, I've always gone through a simple and consistent check list
where I place my wallet, keys, cell phone , pocket calculator, pocket knives, pistol, spare magazine, in the exact same locations, pockets etc.
this morning I'm getting dressed and I can't find my 10mm Glock!.
Immediately my wife says I must have lost it, and I'm getting senile,
and she starts going though a mental check list of where I must have misplaced it,
which in her mind includes every restaurant, store etc.,
I stopped in over the day before,
,she's in a low level panic and sure some kid will find it and start killing everyone in sight!
I stop and try to think where I was the last time I saw it!
and no matter how hard I try, I keep coming back to remembering I took it out of the holster,
and placed it in a special holster screwed on the back of the head board,
where it always goes when I undress at night, where its easy to grab, out of sight,
and consistently available. well, after we look for 20 minutes..
in night stand drawers, in dirty clothes hampers and jacket pockets, my car, etc.
and she's making me nuts,
accusing me of having left it at a dozen locations, so I said,
, calm down, let me grab a flash light, let me look behind the head board,
she gets this stupid sheepish guilty grin, and says....OH CRAP....
then admits she changed the bedding yesterday without my help,
while I was taking a shower,
THAT is in itself, UN-USUAL, she always has me involved,
and she had my grandson help her,
that kid could break an anvil with a tooth brush,
or lose his jacket in a car inside of 30 seconds,

well it turns out my grandson had unknowingly, by my wife, knocked the pistol out of the holster ,
as he threw pillows and blankets everyplace ,and it was on the floor under the holster,
on the floor under the bed but below the head board.
of course its still ALL MY FAULT!
( I should have KNOWN... that if the kid dropped anything!
he would never bother to pick it up or tell anyone he caused something to fall)
